  This information was from papers Virginia Hefferon had: Jane, daughter of Fedinand and Isabella (Johnstone) Carroll, married aman named Joathan and had three children Ferdinand who died young,Joanna, and Belle---Gordon (this was unreadable). Joanna married AlbertAkin, to them were born 5 sons Euiles?, George, Melvin, Frank, andWillard. Isabelle Dunning - "The History & Tree of the Carroll Family, 1821-1943" written and compiled by Hannah Carroll Porter Family Historian, 1943 Jane married Jonathen Carroll (no relation). Made their home in MercerCounty. To them were born two children, Joanna and Izabella. Isabellamarried Gordon and later came to make her home with Uncle George at theold homestead. Joanna married Albert Akin. He served in the Civil War.They had five children, Emlin, George, Melvin, Frank, and Willard. Frankmarried Belle Griffith, four daughters were born to them. Two survivedand one grandson - Donald McNany of Berkely, CA. the only representativeof that line of the family
